What Is an Electric Strike?
An Electric Strike is a door-frame-mounted component that replaces the fixed strike plate used with conventional mechanical locks.
When it receives an electrical command, the strike releases the lock latch so the door can be opened without using a key.
Unlike conventional mechanical locks that operate only through a key or handle, an Electric Strike can be connected to different components of an Access Control & Entry Security System and can receive door-release commands from a Video Intercom, Access Controller, remote control, RFID tag or other compatible entry-control equipment.
